Datenschutzerklärung für Movee

Stand: 6. Oktober 2026.

  • Keine Werbebanner, kein Tracking, keine fremden Analysewerkzeuge.
Damit löschst du deine DizzyyID in allen Dizzyy-Apps.

1. Wer verantwortlich ist

Dizzyy
Vor dem Neuhaus 8A
34305 Niedenstein
Deutschland

2. Was auf deinem Gerät bleibt

3. Dein Konto

Was wir speichern:

  • E-Mail-Adresse.

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
  • Speicherdauer: bis du dein Konto löschst.

Was du einträgst, speichern wir in deinem Konto:

Fotos: Fotos wählst du in Apples Fotoauswahl.

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
  • Speicherdauer: wie die Fahrzeugdaten in Abschnitt 4.

  • Fahrzeugangaben lesen: Marke, Modell, Baujahr, Fahrgestellnummer
  • Kilometerstand, Akku und Ladezustand lesen
  • Laden starten und stoppen, das Ladelimit setzen

Deine Zugangsdaten beim Hersteller sieht Movee nie.

Was wir speichern:

Unser Server verwirft ihn sofort.

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

So erkennst du deinen eigenen Check-in (Abschnitt 8).
  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

  • Neue Säule: In Movee 27.0 legst du keine Säule an.

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO), für „Krank melden“ in älteren Fassungen deine Einwilligung (Art. 9 Abs. 2 lit. a DSGVO).

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

  • deine Kontokennung

Apple meldet unserem Server Verlängerungen, Kündigungen und Erstattungen.

  • Zweck: Pro freischalten und Missbrauch verhindern. Jeder Befehl an ein Auto kostet uns ein Kontingent.
  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

B. DEU) an unseren Server.

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

In beiden Fällen

  • Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
  • Speicherdauer: bis zur Löschung deines Kontos.

13. Nutzungsereignisse

14. Ladekosten an Stayy

  • Rechtsgrundlage: deine Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). Was schon übertragen ist, bleibt in Stayy.

15. Server-Protokolle

Jede Anfrage an unseren Datenbankanbieter und an unseren Server hinterlässt technische Protokolle: IP-Adresse, Zeitpunkt, angefragte Adresse, Antwortcode und Gerätetyp. Unser Server schreibt dazu eigene Zeilen.

  • Rechtsgrundlage: berechtigtes Interesse (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

  • deine Einträge an Säulen: Rangliste, Meldungen, Ladekarten-Bewertungen, Kommentare

Was bleibt:

20. Deine Rechte

Du hast das Recht auf:

  • Auskunft über deine Daten (Art. 15 DSGVO)
  • Berichtigung (Art. 16)
  • Löschung (Art. 17)
  • Einschränkung der Verarbeitung (Art. 18)
  • Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20)
  • Widerspruch (Art. 21)

23. Keine automatisierten Entscheidungen

Stand: 6. Oktober 2026

Privacy Policy for Movee

As of 6 October 2026. Applies to Movee 27.0 on iPhone, Apple Watch and in CarPlay.

Contents

In short

  • Movee needs an account. Your cars, charging sessions and costs live in our database in Ireland (EU), so they reach your iPhone, your watch and the people you share a car with.
  • Movee uses your location for chargers, routes and weather. Movee does not keep your coordinates in your account. Our server logs hold them for 7 days at most. What is stored with your account is which charger you check in at.
  • Readings from your car come straight to your phone from a Bluetooth plug (OBD2). If you connect it, they come through Smartcar, a US service.
  • No banner ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics tools. Recommendations that earn us a commission are labelled. We count a few events in our own database.
  • For the meter receipt for a company car, Movee opens the camera only when you tap. We store the meter photo without the place it was taken, and the receipt shows no times and no places (section 11a).
  • You delete your account in the app. That deletes your Dizzyy ID in all Dizzyy apps.

1. Who is responsible

Dizzyy
Vor dem Neuhaus 8A
34305 Niedenstein
Germany
E-mail: dizzyy.pr@gmail.com

Movee is offered by a sole proprietorship ("we"). Movee is one of the Dizzyy apps (Movee, Stayy, Playy, Steadyy). All four come from us and share one account, the Dizzyy ID.

We have not appointed a data protection officer. We are not required to (Art. 37 GDPR, § 38 BDSG). For any privacy question, write to the address above.

2. What stays on your device

Some things never leave your iPhone:

  • Face ID: Face ID only tells Movee "recognised" or "not recognised", never your face. For "Sign in with Face ID", your e-mail and password sit in your iPhone's keychain. They are deleted as soon as another account signs in or you delete your account.
  • Calendar: Movee may only add events, not read them. It adds a planned trip when you ask it to.
  • Settings: which OBD2 plug belongs to which car, favourites, map filters and appearance. Movee keeps favourites on the device only. Looking up a favourite's address goes through Apple Maps.
  • Apple Watch, widgets and shortcuts: The watch gets its data directly from your iPhone (Apple WatchConnectivity). Widgets and shortcuts only read on the device.
  • Exports: CSV and PDF files are created on your device. You decide where they go. Movee keeps a meter receipt on the device briefly for viewing and sharing, and deletes that copy afterwards, when you sign out and when you delete your account.
  • Camera and text recognition: Movee opens the camera only when you tap for the meter receipt, and only to take a photo, never the photo library. Movee redraws the photo before uploading it. That drops embedded details such as where it was taken. Movee reads the meter reading in the photo on the device (Apple's text recognition) and suggests it to you. Movee deletes the copy on the device straight after uploading.
  • Reminders: Movee schedules charge alarms, service reminders and the reminder to photograph your meter at the turn of the month as notifications on the device. The date and text of the meter reminder come from our server. Only for cars connected through Smartcar and for a finished or corrected meter receipt does the message come from our server (section 10).
  • Recommendations: Recommendations that earn us a commission are labelled in the app. If you tap one, Safari opens the partner's page. Movee attaches no data about you. What the partner learns is governed by its own privacy policy.

Movee only accesses location, Bluetooth, calendar, camera and notifications if you have allowed it in iOS (§ 25(1) TDDDG). Movee only sees photos you tap in Apple's photo picker, and files you choose in the file picker. You can withdraw that at any time in the iOS Settings. What Movee must keep on the device to work, such as your sign-in, it stores without asking (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

3. Your account

What we store:

  • Your e-mail address. Our database provider stores your password only as a hash, never in plain text.
  • An account identifier, your Dizzyy ID and a display name.
  • How you sign in (e-mail, Apple or Google).
  • When you registered and last signed in.
  • For each signed-in session: IP address and device type. The session ends when you sign out or delete your account. If you only delete the app, it stays with us.
  • If you entered a company ID when registering in an older version (up to 26.2), it stays stored in your account. Movee 27.0 no longer asks for it. Movee does not show your data to any company through this company ID.

Sign in with Apple: We receive an identifier from Apple and your e-mail address. If you hide it, it is a relay address from Apple. We only get your name if you share it.

Sign in with Google (if the app offers it): We receive your e-mail address, your name, the address of your profile picture and an identifier from Google. The sign-in runs in an iOS security window directly between you, Google and our database provider.

Display name: If you have not entered your own, we take the name from Apple or Google. You change the name in your profile.

Dizzyy ID: You choose this user name yourself. It applies in all Dizzyy apps. In Movee, others do not see it, not even at chargers (section 8).

Our database provider sends the e-mails to confirm your account and reset your password on our behalf.

  • Purpose: account, sign-in, keeping your devices and the Dizzyy apps in sync.
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: until you delete your account.

4. Cars, charging sessions and costs

This is the heart of Movee, your journal. What you enter, we store in your account:

  • Cars: make, model, nickname, licence plate if you want, battery, range, consumption, charging power, seats, whether it is a company car (the "Company car" switch). Also charge level and mileage, each with time and source (by hand, OBD2, Smartcar). Plus battery health, charging curve, leasing (start, term, rate, mileage) and a battery certificate (date, provider, file).
  • Charging sessions: start and end, charge level before and after, energy, power, mileage, consumption, provider, charging type, price per kWh, blocking fee, total cost, solar share, whether charged at home, who entered it.
  • Purpose of the trip: If "Company car" is switched on for a car, the charging form asks whether a session was for work or private. Movee 27.0 does not ask for the purpose or the destination. Earlier details stay stored and appear in the export. All of this stays in your journal; your employer does not get it from us.
  • Photos and files: a photo of the charger's display, a receipt, the battery certificate as an image or PDF.
  • Tariffs: your providers and prices, home tariff, base fee.
  • Service reminders, charge alarms, checklists: type, note, due by date or mileage. For a charge alarm: target time, start and target charge level and charging power.
  • Profile settings: driving style, preferred temperature, charge level on arrival. Movee uses them to work out your range.
  • Detected charging sessions: If the charge level rises, Movee suggests a session. It is only entered if you agree.

Photos: You pick photos in Apple's photo picker. Movee only sees the pictures you choose. Movee saves charging photos anew before uploading. That drops embedded details such as where the photo was taken. You choose certificates in the file picker. We upload them unchanged, so embedded details such as where a photo was taken stay in them. The files sit with our database provider under a random address that cannot be guessed. Anyone who has this address can open the file, so do not pass it on.

Sharing a car: If you share a car by code, everyone you share it with sees that car and all its charging sessions. That includes costs, photos and details about the purpose of a trip, no matter who entered them.

Handing over a car: If you sell your car, "hand over" copies the car and its charging sessions into the buyer's account. Movee finds the buyer by their e-mail address. Your copy is archived.

  • Purpose: record, analyse, remind and export charging sessions and costs.
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: until you delete the entry or your account. Photos and files stay until you delete your account, even if you delete the entry before (section 19).

5. Readings from your car: OBD2 plug

Movee connects via Bluetooth Low Energy to an OBD2 adapter in your car's diagnostic port. It reads the charge level and the mileage, nothing else. The readings go with their time into your car in the database.

To have the reading arrive by itself when you get in, iOS may wake Movee in the background as soon as the plug gets power. Movee learns at the car which requests it understands and keeps that on the phone. Usage events record whether pairing worked and which readings were missing (section 13).

  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: as for car data in section 4.

6. Readings from your car: Smartcar

With Movee Pro you can connect your car through Smartcar, Inc. (USA). Smartcar connects Movee to your carmaker's online service, for example Volkswagen.

In Smartcar's own window you sign in with your carmaker and allow what Movee may do:

  • read vehicle details: make, model, year, vehicle identification number (VIN)
  • read mileage, battery and charging state
  • start and stop charging, set the charge limit

Movee never sees your carmaker login.

What we store:

  • Smartcar's identifiers for you, the car and the connection
  • the permissions you gave, plus make, model and year
  • charge level, mileage, charging state, charging power and charge limit, each with its time
  • charging sessions built from these: start, end, charge levels, mileage
  • your commands and refresh requests: what, when, with what result

We do not store the VIN. Movee does not request the car's location. Some carmakers send a place along with a charge limit, such as "Home" with an address. Our server discards it straight away.

How the readings arrive: Smartcar sends new readings to our server. When you tap the button, we ask again. If you set a charge alarm, our server stops charging at your target, even with the app closed, and sends you a notification (section 10).

People you share the car with: They see the readings. They may only control charging if you allow it.

Smartcar processes data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Section 17 explains the transfer to the USA.

  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: The connection stays until you disconnect it or delete the car or your account. Our server then revokes it at Smartcar automatically. We keep commands for 90 days, the count of calls for 100 days, refresh requests for 2 days and a charge alarm's control data for up to 7 days after it ends. Smartcar says it keeps vehicle data for no more than 90 days.

7. Location

Movee asks for "While Using the App". It asks for "Always" only when you check in at a charger, for the automatic check-out. Movee does not track your location in the background.

  • Chargers nearby (also in CarPlay): Movee sends the centre of the map area and the search radius to our server and directly to Open Charge Map. The centre is often where you are. With that area, our server also asks GoingElectric, without your IP address or identifier. If you are signed in, Movee sends your sign-in along to our server. That way you recognise your own check-in (section 8). We do not store the area with your account. Open Charge Map gets no account identifier.
  • Route planning (Movee Pro): Start, destination and stops go to Apple Maps (directions, address search). Open-Meteo gets coordinates for elevation and weather along the way. Our server and Open Charge Map get them for chargers along the route. For bus and train or park & ride, the request goes to Transitous.
  • Weather and range: Apple Weather (WeatherKit) gets your location. Open-Meteo gets it for wind and rain, rounded to about 10 m.
  • Checking in at a charger: Movee sends your location and the charger's to our server. The server checks that you are within 150 m and discards the coordinates. All it stores is which charger and which charging point you checked in at (section 8).
  • Automatic check-out: With "Always", iOS watches a circle of 500 m around the charger on your device. When you leave it, Movee reports the check-out to our server, without coordinates.
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Access only with your permission in iOS (§ 25(1) TDDDG).
  • Retention: Movee does not keep your coordinates in your account. Our server logs keep the map centre for no more than 7 days (section 15). Open-Meteo says it keeps IP addresses for 90 days, Transitous keeps logs for 2 days.

8. Map and community

The map works because drivers tell each other things. Others see what is going on at a charger, but not who reported it:

  • Check-in: If you check in at a charging point, everyone on the map sees that it is taken, but not who is charging there. With the check-in we store your account identifier, not your name. Our server gives the identifier to nobody else. The check-in ends at check-out, after 4 hours at the latest.
  • Charger leaderboard: We count how often you have checked in at a charger, with your account identifier and Dizzyy ID. Movee 27.0 shows no leaderboard. Older versions (up to 26.2) only show how often the ten most frequent guests have been there, without names. The count serves the leaderboard and is not needed for the check-in itself. We therefore rely on our legitimate interest. If you object (section 20), we list you there anonymously.
  • Reports (out of order, blocked, broken cable …): We store the type, charger, time and your Dizzyy ID. Everyone sees the type and age of a report; nobody sees your Dizzyy ID. Any signed-in user can mark a report as resolved. We then also store their Dizzyy ID, which nobody else sees either. Movee does not ask for a comment. If an older version sends one, our server discards it.
  • Report a price: You only enter a number, the price per kWh (0.01 to 2.00 €). It may then be shown to everyone at the charger. It is stored with the charger, without your name and without your account identifier. Movee does not ask for a comment or a name. Older versions (up to 26.2) still send them; our server discards them.
  • Comments and names stored earlier from reports and from "price and comment" stay with us under your Dizzyy ID or account identifier. Nobody gets to see them.
  • Charging cards: Whether a charging card works at the charger is stored with your account identifier and Dizzyy ID. You pick the card from a fixed list. Others only see the totals.
  • New charger: In Movee 27.0 you cannot add a charger. What someone enters in an older version about a missing charger (place, name, operator, price, payment methods), we store but show to nobody. We do not store the name or account identifier of the person who enters it.
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for the leaderboard, our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You use these features voluntarily.
  • Retention: check-ins until check-out, 4 hours at most. Leaderboard, reports, ratings and comments stored earlier until you delete your account (section 19); ratings also until you withdraw them. A reported price stays at the charger until a newer one replaces it.

9. Car pools

Under "Trips" you organise car pools. All members of a group see:

  • the group's name, its members and the invitation code
  • trips with date, start, destination and stops
  • driver and passengers with their names, car and charging provider
  • estimated and actual costs, and who owes whom
  • short messages to the group, and cancellations

What happens in the group appears as a list of activities. Each entry stores the name and account identifier of the person acting and details such as the trip's destination. Our server also sends it to the group as a notification through Google Firebase (section 10). It is shown to everyone who has allowed notifications. The notification contains the name of the person acting and, for example, the trip's destination. Movee can add a trip to your calendar. That stays on your device.

A trip's start and destination go to Apple: for address search, directions, the map image and the weather at the destination (Apple Maps, Apple Weather).

Can't make it: If you can't make a trip, the group's members see that on this trip. Movee does not ask for a reason, and it does not count who drops out how often. Older versions (up to 26.2) still call this "Report sick" and count it in a "sick leave" statistic. Anyone who uses it there gives voluntary information about their health (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which they can withdraw at any time. Older versions show a "can't make it" from Movee 27.0 only as having dropped out.

  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for "Report sick" in older versions, your consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
  • Retention: as long as the group keeps the trip. Past trips with your name stay visible to the others even after you leave or delete your account. They are part of the others' cost settlement (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The list of activities currently has no fixed period. We remove your name and identifier from it after you delete your account (section 19).

10. Notifications

  • On the device: charge alarms, service reminders and the reminder to photograph your meter at the turn of the month. Movee fetches the date and text of that reminder from our server together with the status of your meter receipt; nothing goes to us for the notification itself.
  • Apple Push (APNs): If you allow notifications, Movee sends your device's push token to our server. With it go your account identifier and the kind of build (App Store or test). While a charge alarm runs, the Live Activity's token is added. Our server uses them to send "charging stopped", "stop failed" and the Live Activity's status through Apple. For the meter receipt it sends "receipt ready" and, after a correction, "please approve again", without an amount, a name or a company.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: This delivers notifications from car pools. The Firebase library only starts once you are signed in, have allowed notifications and belong to a car pool. Before that, nothing goes to Google from your device. What you do in a car pool, however, our server always sends through Google to the group as a notification, with your display name and, for example, the trip's destination. Once the library starts, it creates an installation ID at Google, and Movee gives Google Apple's push token plus device model, iOS and app version, language and time zone. According to Google's own statements about these libraries, the device data is also used for analysis, without any link to your account. Google turns the push token into a Firebase token. Movee subscribes to the channel of each of your groups and unsubscribes when you leave a group. If you left it on another device, this happens the next time Movee starts. When you sign out, Movee deletes the Firebase token, its subscriptions and the installation ID at Google, and likewise at the next start if you no longer belong to any group. If an older version (up to 26.2) had already started Firebase on your device, Movee contacts Google once after the update to delete exactly that. If deleting fails, for example without a connection, Movee does it at the next start. Movee does not give Google your account identifier.
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Notifications only with your permission in iOS (§ 25(1) TDDDG).
  • Retention: We keep the device token until Apple reports it as invalid or you delete your account. We delete Live Activity tokens after 12 hours. Google keeps the installation ID until it is deleted. According to Google, it is then removed from backups within 180 days.

11. Purchases

Movee Pro is an App Store subscription. Older Movee subscriptions still count as Pro. You pay Apple. We do not get your payment details.

When you buy, Movee attaches your account identifier to the transaction. That way the purchase belongs to your account and not to anyone who uses the same iPhone. The app sends the receipts signed by Apple to our server. The server checks Apple's signature and stores:

  • transaction identifiers, product and tier
  • environment (App Store or test)
  • purchase date, expiry and any revocation
  • your account identifier

Apple notifies our server of renewals, cancellations and refunds.

  • Purpose: unlock Pro and prevent abuse. Every command to a car costs us quota.
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The check also rests on our legitimate interest in not paying for purchases that belong to someone else (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: until you delete your account. Apple issues the invoices, not us.

Pro through your employer. If your employer pays for Movee Pro for you, we unlock it on our server for your account. There is nothing to enter in the app. It is exactly Movee Pro, as anyone can buy it in the app.

  • From your employer we receive your name, your e-mail address and the information that you should get Pro; if you use the meter receipt through them, also your personnel number and licence plate (section 11a). We use them to invite you and to check that the seat goes to the right person: the e-mail address of your account has to match the one your employer gives us, otherwise your employer confirms the match in writing. You send us your Dizzyy ID yourself; taking part is voluntary.
  • We store which account has a seat through which company, since when and until when. The app shows you the company and the end date and keeps both on your device, so Pro works offline too (for one week at most without a new confirmation; deleted when you sign out).
  • Your employer sees nothing from the app: not your Dizzyy ID, nor charging sessions, costs, locations, trips or readings from your car. If you use the meter receipt through them, they get the monthly receipt and see whether the photo and the approval are there (section 11a).
  • Legal basis: contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for the details from your employer, our legitimate interest in giving a paid seat only to the right account (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: the name and e-mail address from your employer until the end of their licence at the latest; the seat until you delete your account.

11a. Meter receipt for a company car

With Movee Pro you create a monthly receipt for a company car covering the electricity you charge at home. Your employer can use it to reimburse you. It is offered for employers in Germany. It needs a separate meter or a wallbox with its own meter: you photograph it at the turn of the month, enter the reading and approve the receipt. So that Movee only offers the meter receipt where it fits, the app sends the country of your App Store account (e.g. DEU) to our server. Who is responsible for the data depends on how you use the meter receipt.

For yourself

If you set up the meter receipt yourself, we are responsible.

  • What we store: the name on the receipt and the licence plate, and if you like your personnel number and employer, as you enter them. Meter type, meter number, how many digits after the decimal point it shows and whether another vehicle also charges at this meter. Which of your cars in Movee the receipt is linked to, the language of the app (for notifications) and the day Movee last fetched the status. The meter photos without embedded details such as where they were taken, with the date they arrived, the day they were taken and a check value (SHA-256). The meter readings and whether you typed them or accepted the suggestion from the photo. The declaration you confirm, with its version and language, and the date of your approval. The receipt as a PDF with amount of energy, electricity price, amount, receipt number, version and checksum. Notes from our checks, for example for an unusually high amount of energy. For each photo we also keep, in an intake log, exactly when it arrived and the check value of the file as it arrived.
  • Purpose: your receipt, which you pass on yourself (Share). Our server checks the readings for plausibility. This only produces notes on the receipt, no decision about you (section 23).
  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: until you choose "End meter receipt" or delete your account; the intake log for 13 months at most. Movee is not an archive: save every receipt through Share.

Through your employer

If your employer has a contract with us for the meter receipt, they are responsible for the data in the receipt. We process it on their behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). What they use it for and on what basis, their own notice tells you. From them we receive your name, personnel number, licence plate and e-mail address. We store the same details as above, without an employer entered by you; the day of the last status fetch tells us whether the app or an e-mail reminds you.

  • Only after your yes: We only link your account if its e-mail address matches the one your employer gives us, or if your employer confirms the match in writing. Movee then first shows only "Is this you?" with the company's name and the last two digits of the personnel number. Only after you answer yes does Movee show receipts and tasks. "No, unlink" removes the link.
  • What your employer gets (and, on their instruction, their payroll office): the monthly receipt with both photos, amount of energy, amount and receipt number, a file for payroll and, for each month, a rough status, always as of the day before. Until the 5th of the following month it is only "open" or "approved", after that also "photo missing", "approval missing" or "in progress", without a reason.
  • What they never see: times, places, trips, individual charging sessions, charge level, your Dizzyy ID, whether you use the app, and no data from the app.
  • The data in the receipt belongs to your employer. If you delete your account, meter photos, meter readings and receipts stay for them, including ones not yet approved. Only the link to your account ends (section 19). Please direct access, correction and erasure requests to your employer; if you write to us, we pass it on to them.
  • Retention: as your employer has agreed with us, usually until 30 days after their contract ends. They then get the data back and we delete it, unless they have agreed a longer retention period with us.

In both cases

  • Camera: only when you tap, only for the meter photo, never from the photo library (section 2). Photograph only the display and the meter number, not the surroundings.
  • Where the data is: Our server (Render, Frankfurt am Main) builds the receipt. Photos and receipts are kept in a private storage area with our database provider in Ireland and can only be opened through links that expire after 60 seconds.
  • No receipt from your car's data: Smartcar, OBD2 and your charging sessions in Movee are not used for the meter receipt.

12. Points and streaks

As in all Dizzyy apps, your account counts experience points, level, credits and daily streaks. It also stores the last day you opened Movee, progress on challenges, quiz answers and unlocked items. You see these in the Dizzyy area of the apps.

  • Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Retention: until you delete your account.

13. Usage events

We want to know whether Movee helps in everyday life. To find out, Movee writes a few events about which features you use to our own database, for example:

  • app opened, at most once a day
  • car added
  • charging session logged
  • OBD2 plug paired, reading received or given up, with the readings that were missing
  • subscription page seen, purchase made

Each event carries your account identifier, the time, the app version and the kind of event. No device identifier, no location, no third-party analytics tool.

  • Purpose: to understand whether people come back, which features they use and where they get stuck, for example with the OBD2 plug or on the subscription page.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving Movee (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: until you delete your account.

You can object at any time, informally by e-mail to the address in section 1. We then delete your events and store no new ones.

14. Charging costs to Stayy

Stayy is our household app. If you allow it (Journal → Imprint → your name or "Account & settings" → "Charging costs to Stayy", or in Stayy), Movee leaves a message for Stayy for each charging session. It contains the amount, currency, date, provider, the flags "charged at home" and "work trip", and the session's identifier. Stayy picks it up and records the cost in your household budget.

  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the same switch. What has already been transferred stays in Stayy.
  • Retention: The message stays with us until Stayy picks it up, at most until you delete your account.

"Charge & Play" only opens the quiz in Playy if you have Playy installed. No data is transferred.

15. Server logs

Every request to our database provider and to our server leaves technical logs: IP address, time, requested address, response code and device type. Our server adds its own lines. For a charger search, the map centre appears there. For Smartcar messages, until 31 October 2026, time intervals and charging power readings appear there, without charge level, place or full identifiers. For the meter receipt, no names, meter readings or photos appear there, but the country and language from the app's request do. When a link to the meter receipt is opened in a browser, our server cuts the access key from the address before logging it; the log of our host Render still contains that one request.

  • Purpose: operation, troubleshooting, protection against abuse.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: currently 7 days at most.

Apple also gives us aggregated usage figures and crash reports if you have agreed to this in the iOS Settings. Apple is responsible for this. We cannot identify anyone from them.

Only you pass on a meter receipt you made for yourself. If you use the meter receipt through your employer, they and, on their instruction, their payroll office get what section 11a lists; they are responsible for that. We only give data to authorities where a law obliges us to.

17. Transfers to third countries

  • USA: Smartcar, Render and Netlify are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (US Department of Commerce list, checked on 1 October 2026); Google and Apple state that they are certified too. For these, the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 applies (Art. 45 GDPR). The contracts with Smartcar and Render also contain the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
  • Singapore and USA (Supabase and its sub-processors): Our contract partner for the database is Supabase Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. Your data is stored in Ireland. Supabase and its sub-processors may access it from third countries, including Singapore and the USA, for example for maintenance and support. There is no adequacy decision for Singapore. The standard contractual clauses apply (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
  • Switzerland (Open-Meteo): There is an adequacy decision for Switzerland (Art. 45 GDPR).
  • Australia (Open Charge Map): There is no adequacy decision for Australia. Only your IP address and the map area are transferred, and only when you look for chargers. That is necessary to show you the chargers (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR).

Copy of the safeguards: We will send you a copy of the standard contractual clauses on request to the address in section 1. The model text is published by the European Commission: Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914.

Our providers' backups are overwritten on a rolling basis. Until then, deleted data may still be contained in them.

19. Deleting your account

In the app: Journal → Imprint → your name (or "Account & settings" if you have not set one) → "Permanently delete account".

This deletes your Dizzyy ID in all four Dizzyy apps. With it, your profile, cars, charging sessions, tariffs, service reminders, charge alarms, checklists, points, usage events, purchase records, push tokens, messages to Stayy and your meter receipt for yourself (meter, readings, approvals, receipts, intake log) disappear at once. Our server removes its photos and PDFs from storage within one day. Our server then revokes any Smartcar connection at Smartcar automatically.

Within 30 days of the deletion, we remove by hand:

  • your uploaded photos and certificates
  • your entries at chargers: leaderboard, reports, charging card ratings, comments
  • your identifier from the member lists of car pools
  • your name and identifier in the activity list of car pools

What remains:

  • past trips with your name in car pools (section 9)
  • the Smartcar command log and a charge alarm's control data: without your account identifier, but with Smartcar's identifiers for you and the car, until the periods in section 6 have passed
  • what you have already handed to others, such as a car to a buyer, costs in Stayy or a receipt you shared
  • meter photos, meter readings and receipts you made through your employer, including ones not yet approved. They belong to them (section 11a). Your account is no longer linked to them, and any Pro seat through them ends
  • what is on your device, until you delete the app

A subscription does not end by itself. Cancel it in the iOS Settings under your name → Subscriptions. If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove Movee under "Sign in with Apple" in your Apple Account settings.

20. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access to your data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification (Art. 16)
  • erasure (Art. 17)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • data portability (Art. 20)
  • object (Art. 21)

You can withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3) GDPR). What happened before stays lawful.

Right to object: Where we rely on a legitimate interest (section 8 for the leaderboard, and sections 9, 11, 13, 15, 25 and 26), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can object to usage events (section 13) without giving reasons.

Much of this works right in the app: change and delete entries, delete your account, and with Movee Pro export charging sessions as CSV and share meter receipts. You can get a copy of your data free of charge without a subscription too: write to the address in section 1, as for anything else. We reply within one month. For the meter receipt through your employer, your employer is the one to ask (section 11a); whatever reaches us about it, we pass on to them.

21. Complaints

You can complain to any data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the country where you live. The authority responsible for us is:

22. Do you have to provide data?

Not by law. For an account we need an e-mail address or sign-in with Apple or Google, plus a Dizzyy ID. Movee cannot be used without an account.

Everything else is optional. Without location, Movee shows no chargers near you. Without Bluetooth, it cannot read from the car. Without notifications, you get no alerts. Without the camera, there is no meter photo in Movee.

23. No automated decisions

We make no decisions based solely on automated processing that affect you legally (Art. 22 GDPR). We do not build a profile of you. When the server stops charging at your target, it carries out your own instruction. For the meter receipt, our server checks the readings for plausibility. For yourself, this only becomes a note on the receipt. For a receipt through your employer, a person (we) looks at an unusual reading before a receipt is made.

24. Children

Movee is meant for people who drive electric cars, not for children. Anyone under 16 needs a parent's consent.

25. This page

This page is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you open it, Netlify keeps access logs with IP address, time, address, referring page and browser, according to Netlify for less than 30 days. The page sets no cookies, loads no external fonts and uses no tracking. If you choose a language, your browser remembers it (local storage, not a cookie). Nothing is sent to us.

  • Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing the page securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

26. If you write to us

If you write to us, we use your address and your message to reply.

  • Legal basis: contract or our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Retention: We delete the message once the matter is settled, unless a law requires us to keep it.

27. Changes

When Movee changes, we change this policy. The current version is always at this address. The date at the top shows when it is from.

As of 6 October 2026
